Il nostro Club, fondato il 1° Luglio 1997, è sorto dal desiderio di affiancarci ai due Rotary Club locali, per compiere un cammino insieme, ispirandoci agli ideali rotariani dell'amicizia e del servire. La nascita di un Club segna sempre una speranza; possiamo dire che la speranza si è trasformata in una grande certezza.
Il Club è nato in un momento felice. Eravamo 22 Socie alla fine del mese di Giugno 1997, al 30 Giugno 2007 l'Inner Wheel di Casalmaggiore conta 38 persone.
Sono stati sviluppati i nostri progetti lavorando insieme e aiutandoci a concretizzare service socio-umanitari, culturali e a carattere internazionale.
In campo sociale i nostri obiettivi sono stati rivolti ai bambini in difficoltà. Pur nel rispetto della norma statutaria che non considera l'Inner Wheel un ente di beneficenza, abbiamo elargito i nostri aiuti a enti ed associazioni laici e religiosi, ma in particolare abbiamo rivolto i nostri interventi a sostegno di alunni meritevoli e/o svantaggiati sotto il profilo culturale ed educativo presenti nelle scuole locali; abbiamo distribuito doni (libri e giochi) ai bambini spedalizzati e fornito computer ed attrezzature informatiche a cooperative locali che ospitano ragazzi handicappati.
I nostri incontri culturali sono stati animati da relatori che hanno parlato di tematiche di attualità, di argomenti di particolare rilievo inerenti all'animo femminile che hanno arricchito le nostre conoscenze e ci hanno gratificato.
Amiamo le nostre cittadine, siamo attente al patrimonio artistico per cui ogni anno abbiamo fatto restaurare un'opera d'arte presente sul territorio e non manchiamo di visitare monumenti e musei nel casalasco - viadanese e nelle zone limitrofe. In campo internazionale abbiamo effettuato, per la durata di un decennio, l'adozione a distanza di un bambino rumeno - Rada Cristian - con il quale teniamo anche frequenti rapporti epistolari.
Le somme destinate all'acquisto di fiori e di regali da offrire nelle varie circostanze, sono state invece devolute al Comitato "Un fiore per uno sguardo", iniziativa promossa dalla consorte del Governatore del Distretto Rotary 2050 e mirata a ridare la speranza della vista a coloro che sono stati colpiti da gravi patologie.
La nostra sede sociale è presso il Ristobifi che accoglie noi e i soci del Rotary. Negli accoglienti spazi a disposizione svolgiamo gran parte delle nostre attività innerine, fra le quali manifestazioni mirate alla realizzazione dei service.
Partecipiamo attivamente ai congressi ed alle iniziative promossi dal Distretto e condividiamo con altri club progetti di comune interesse. Ci scambiamo visite, programmiamo escursioni e viaggi, organizziamo meeting.
Nel Marzo scorso al Forum Distrettuale di Treviso - Palazzo dei Trecento - sul tema " La Donna oggi davanti alle grandi sfide del mondo " la candidata segnalata dal nostro Club, la casalese Laura Scaravonati, campionessa italiana di orientering, ha ricevuto il premio Inner Wheel della Donna, per aver saputo raggiungere prestigiosi risultati sportivi, affiancati ai successi nello studio universitario.
Siamo orgogliose di fare parte di un'associazione che agisce secondo gli ideali di amicizia, di solidarietà e siamo liete di impegnarci in attività utili che ci arricchiscono sul piano culturale ed umano. |

Our Club was founded on the 1st July, 1997. We established it as we wished to flank the two local Rotarian clubs in order to proceed together, following the Rotarian ideals of friendship and service. When a club is set up, it is always because there is a hope and we can say now, that what we hoped for, has been fulfilled.
The club was founded in a happy moment. At the end of June 1997 there were 22 members, now, on the 30th of June 2002, the Inner Wheel Club of Casalmaggiore boasts 38 people.
Working together we have carried out our socio-umanitarian and cultural plans on both national and international levels.
In the social field, our objectives have been addressed to children in difficulty. Even if we kept in mind that the Inner Wheel is not, by law, a charitable institution, we have widened our help to secular and religious bodies but, above all, to deserving students with a poor cultural and social background, we have donated assistance in the form of books and games to children in hospitals and given computers and computer equipement to local cooperatives hosting handicapped children.
Our cultural meetings have been presided over by speakers experienced in topical subjects or topics of great interest to us as women, these lectures have enriched our knowledge and have also gratified has.
We love our country towns and we look after our artistic legacy, so, every year, we have restored a work of art to be found in our territory, we have visited monuments and museum in Casalasco-Viadanese areas and in those nearby. In the international field, for a period of 10 years, we have adopted, at longe-distance, a Rumenian boy - Cristian Rada - and, with him, we have a frequent corrispondence.
The sum of money which should have been used to buy flowers and presents to be offered in different occasions was, instead, giver to the Commitee " A Flower for a Look " an initiative taken by the wife of the Governor of District Rotary 2050 which halps people with serious sight pathologies.
Our head office is at Ristobifi and it is in its cosy and comfortable rooms we and also the members of Rotary meet and we carry out the great majority of our activities and, among them, those aimed at putting into pratice our service.
We attend meetings and initiatives fostered by the district and we share plans of mutual interest with other clubs. We exchange visits, we plan trips and journeys and we organize meetings.
Last March, at District Forum of Treviso - Palazzo dei Trecento - on the subject " The Woman facing the great Challenges of the World " our candidate Ms Laura Scaravonati, from Casalmaggiore, the Italian Orientering champion, who was recommended by our club, was awarded the Inner Wheel Prize for Women because she reached impressive results both in sports and in her university studies.
We are proud pf being members of a club which follows ideal and friendship and solidarity and we are glad to be involved in useful activities which enrich us in cultural and humanitarian fields. |
